Nick Wild Photography
Nick came to me through a friend a couple of years ago looking for a photography website. We worked on this for quite a while and eventually came up with something that we were completely happy with.
I based the site on WordPress as a CMS and built the site with NextGEN Gallery to cope with the photo management. I think we achieved what we aimed for, and got a site that was both functional and informative.
You can see the live site at www.nickwildphotography.co.uk
We put a lot of work into the portfolio section of the website, and worked a few nifty bits with hover opacity which really brings the page to life. Nick felt it was important to have some background music playing, so I embedded a small flash based player in the footer.
We added purchase options for photos with Fotomoto. This was the first time I had used them, and found it to be a very good service. It was easy to add purchase options and integrate with WordPress. You get a control panel on their site, and a full shopping cart interaction on the site. They then take payment for and print orders received in a variety of formats. Overall, a wicked service.
Overall the project was a success, and the site has gone down well.
